Stained Glass Introduction

During this engaging one day course, students will learn the basics of lead free stained glass craft. Students will select a design from several pre made patterns, and will leave class at the end of the day with a finished 8”x8” window panel mounted in a wooden frame. 

Lead free solder is better for your health and the environment but takes a little practice to get into the flow (pun intended).

Students must wear closed-toed shoes, sneakers recommended.

Stained Glass Plant with Snail

This course will teach the basics of glass cutting and grinding along with the use of copper foil and soldering. Students will learn to create a stained glass plant accompanied by a cunning snail friend. At the end of the class, students will “plant” their projects into pots to take home and enjoy. No experience in stained glass needed.

Students must wear closed-toed shoes, sneakers recommended.

Fused Glass Jewelry

Students will learn the basics of making fused glass jewelry. Each student will craft a few pieces, choosing from a variety of wearable options. Fused glass work will be fired in Our glass kilns to be picked up at a later date. Open to complete beginners to those with experience.

Stained Glass with Etching Details

Calendar Aug 23, 2026 at 10 am

In this one day class students will learn the basics of lead free stained glass craft, along with some simple sandblasting techniques. Students will learn to design easy rubber stencils for sandblasting, and can gain hands on experience with the sandblaster, or opt to have the instructor sandblast for them. Sandblasted glass will be added into students final window panels, and mounted in 8”x8” wooden frames. 

Students must wear closed-toed shoes, sneakers recommended.

3D Stained Glass

This workshop will focus on small three dimensional projects. Students will learn all about three dimensional soldering, tips and tricks for constructing solid long lasting joints, and how to attach different types of hanging loops and wire.

Stained Glass and Pattern Design (Lead Free)

Calendar Sep 12, 2026 at 10 am

This course will focus on the skills required to make a lead free stained glass window. Students will learn how to design their own glass patterns and will each create a 12”x12” window to take home. Students will learn the use of different glass tools, studio safety, and how to cut and grind glass along with the use of copper foil and solder. Students will learn the basic principles of sandblasting, completing a few sandblasted pieces for their windows. Students will leave with their windows mounted inside a beautiful wooden frame. (Taking this class will make students eligible to take class 201: Independent Project)

All levels are welcome.

 Students must wear closed-toed shoes, sneakers recommended.
