Tapestry Weaving: Applying Practical Skills and Developing Design Principles
with Bradie Hansen
$300
only 4 seats left
Once a weaver has learned the basics in tapestry weaving, it’s a natural next step to learn how to apply them to designs.
In this 6-week session, we will be focusing on design practices in detail. Ideally, these practices will be applicable to individual student projects. Each class will include information about design formation, supportive practices meant to inspire daily weaving practice, and methods of weaving that will support a beautiful finished piece.
Additionally, there will be time for weaving and for student consultation with the instructor on their own designs.
This class can be taken over and over again, as each new weaving plan introduces new things to consider.
Pre-requisite: Introductory to Tapestry Weaving or commensurate experience.
Materials needed for this class:
Tapestry loom for sampling
Preferred warp yarn
Preferred weft yarn
Weaving tools
