Learn white line woodcut printmaking, a technique developed in Provincetown, Massachusetts in the 1920. Inspired by Japanese woodblock prints,European modernism and American crafts techniques, this simple process combines printmaking and watercolor painting. Students start by carving linear drawings into a pine woodblock and then will learn to create a print with multiple colors from the single block. With a few simple tools, this process is easy to replicate at home. No experience needed. All levels welcome.
