This will be a fun, engaging and hands-on opportunity to learn the wonderful art and craft of rug hooking.

Students will learn to hook various shapes and how to prepare the wool and yarn fiber. Different finishing techniques and design considerations will also be covered.

Sample kits ($25 fee) will be provided and are included in the cost of the class. They include an 8” x 8” design and all materials. Frames and hooks will be available for use and loan between classes.

In this 4 week introductory class we will create a chair pad or pillow using the Oxford Punch Needle and colorful yarn! No experience is necessary! You can choose to create your own pillow or follow a pattern from an Oxford Punch Needle kit. In class we will explore various punch needle techniques along with options for finishing your piece.

Color theory, color harmony and developing color palettes will be explored using the Zollie Palette Scout Color Cards and Tool Kit. This hands on interactive class will inspire and give you the confidence to develop unique and eye catching designs. This class is appropriate for those using yarn, fabric and other fiber in their work.
